IMAC invests £7.5 million in QobliQ. QobliQ to acquire brandRapport

Ingenious Media Active Capital Limited ("IMAC") has announced today a first round investment of up to £7.5m in a new company called QobliQ Limited (''QobliQ''). Qobliq was formed with the aim of creating the leading international innovative marketing services group, combining sponsorship, digital and experiential marketing to provide brands with an integrated innovative marketing solution.
The management team of QobliQ is led by Xavier Quattrocchi-Oubradous and Roland Giscard d'Estaing, who founded Sponsorclick France SARL, a Paris-based sponsorship consultancy, and who both have backgrounds in M&A and investment banking.
QobliQ has today completed its first acquisition, for a mixture of cash and equity, of Passhold Ltd, the holding company of brandRapport Limited (''brandRapport''), the leading independent sponsorship agency in the UK. The balance of IMAC's investment will fund the working capital requirements of QobliQ.
brandRapport was originally formed in 1982 as Craigie Taylor International Limited, which then became GEM in 2002 following its acquisition by CSS Stellar PLC. Management led the buy-out of GEM in October 2005, and re-launched the Company as brandRapport in 2006. The agency offers both consulting and implementation services and clients include Vodafone, E.ON, Lenovo, AXA and Nationwide. The company opened a full-service operation in Hong Kong in August 2005, and has consultants in Singapore and Japan who service clients across the Asia-Pacific region.
This marks IMAC's 15th investment since its IPO in April 2006.
